Job description

A day in your life with us:

  • Develop ideas on how to bring content to life on each channel, setting main messages and deciding on formats to create interest/engagement/interaction with audiences together with content owners.
  • Participate in planning forums and help content owners in the business understand how to use the new social channels to reach their goals. 
  • Execute posts with best-in-class IKEA tone of voice.
  • Support the team in creating content calendars for each channel, bringing together planned, anticipated and responsive content. 
  • Prepare reports, presentations and key findings to relevant stakeholders.  
  • Tap into discussions about IKEA on social media and engage with our followers as well as large scale community management.
  • Support crisis management efforts by adapting and using existing messages.
  • You will plan and implement the regional and local social content calendar by working closely with the Regional and Local marketing, Sales, and e-commerce teams to achieve commercial goals, drive web and store visits, increase home furnishing interest and elevate awareness / personality of the IKEA brand through engaging and unique executions.
  • Ensure optimal reach and frequency spends across social platforms, outreach to bloggers/influencers
  • Involved in efficient and effective integration and optimisation of all activities with insights shared.
  • Ensure that all executions are aligned with IKEA Brand Values, Tone of Voice and the IKEA Brand copy identity guidelines to secure that the results are consistent, relevant, engaging and unique.
  • Supporting the team on the day to day coordination with the agencies and the rest of the commercial team
  • Implement multiple campaigns and events across diverse channels to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget

Qualification

Who are you ?    

  • Proven knowledge and experience working with community engagement, ideally managing social media channels for a medium/large-sized brand.
  • Knowledge and experience working with social media tools (management tools, listening tools etc.)
  • Experience of working with some paid social advertising (Google Ads, Instagram, Twitter etc.).
  • You are comfortable working with tools such as Photoshop, Adobe Spark, Premiere or similar tools that are pre-requisites for publishing still and moving images on social media.
  • An interest and passion for social media and the opportunities it presents for reaching & interacting with audiences in new ways, and an interest in staying up to date on the latest developments and best practices.
  • You appreciate a good team and enjoy working as a member of a team on projects.
  • Motivated to live and share our IKEA culture and values.

This position is full-time and is located in Kuwait. Some travel may be required.
