We are searching for a Broadcast Team Leader to join the all-new department – The Content Factory. If you are the right person for the job, you will become part of the Creative Studio, a diverse team of around 35 passionate doers, idea makers, and creative thinkers from around the globe. A team that has the creative muscles and the internal backing to build new, wild, unexpected, and beautiful solutions. You are experienced in broadcast and live-streamed events and have the skills to support and coach a team of Technical Producers and Technical Support Specialists. But it is equally important that you are a hands-on kind of person who loves to bring your ideas to life and knows how to collaborate. If this sounds like you, we should definitely talk. Further, what you need:

• Experience in leading teams, directly or indirectly
• Experience working in a high-volume production environment with tight deadlines
• 5+ years of experience in broadcast and livestreamed events
• Excellent knowledge in live production, both audio, video, and lighting
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Preferred: Knowledge of IKEA brand, culture, and values


In this role you will lead a team of Technical Producers and Technical Support Specialists. This means that you should feel confident with managerial tasks like encouraging development, handling succession, and securing a high-performing team. You will work in collaboration with other team leaders within the Content Factory, as well as with other stakeholders within the organisation, all to secure consistency in deliveries and ways of working.

You will also work as a Technical Producer and together with the team find the best solutions for bringing the agreed creative idea to life in our livestreamed events and broadcasts.

A job in the Content Factory means working both independently and interdependently with creative networks and cross functions. Some of your main responsibilities also include:

• Ensure the continuous development of the team members to remain ahead of organization’s competence needs within broadcast production
• Develop and secure streaming and digital meetings solutions, with simple and cost-efficient ways of working
• Actively support the team with planning, developing, and delivering digital communication in the most effective, engaging, inspiring, and relevant way
• Provide support and contribute as a producer, sound, light, or video specialist in recordings, broadcasts or live events, where needed
• Secure budget and resources, including hardware and broadcast equipment, necessary to succeed with the assignment and achieve set goals
• Support that the team delivers high-level quality production on time, monitoring performance and taking actions to ensure the achievement of team goals
• Create and maintain relationships with external consultants, managing the opportunities for collaboration and streamlining their use to optimise existing resources.
• Analyse the impact of created content, follow up on results, and transform insights into creative ideas and opportunities for the IKEA brand.
• Actively work in collaboration with team members, and creatives within other functions as well as with other IKEA businesses, to create synergies and facilitate the achievement of common goals.

This role is a permanent position and will be located in Malmö, Sweden.
