About the job

We want to fill this position with an energetic professional with a passion for Facilities Management, that will add to a strong Service Office team to support all Facilities Management and Property Services across IKEA SEAMEX and in particular Malaysia, The role will support a wide matrix organization of site based facilities management teams that delivers  and operation management services across Ikano’s property portfolio and assets that includes shopping centres, mixed use developments and IKEA stores within well-defined operational and compliance models that supports business continuity and growth.

Your assignment

  • Manage regional Service Office Facilities Management strategic and tactical activities and initiatives.
  • Support Property and Expansion and the satisfactory delivery of new properties and the departments strategic initiatives and all its tasks.
  • Provide leadership support to the Matrix of Facilities Managers across Malaysia, and support the business in establishing and ensuring FM competence for new and existing properties.
  • Ensure compliance to regional Ikano and Statutory standards and regulations to ensure productive & sustainable operations of our properties.
  • Carry out technical MEP/property design reviews and audits to ensure business operations and the smooth functioning of the plant, equipment and all building services.
  • Ensure all sites create, implement and actively manage annual operational and budget plans to enable all aspects of the building and grounds (building structures, services and systems) to be maintained to agreed standards, costs and timeframes.
  • Produce and distribute management reports on FM Service performance against operational and budget plans, and periodically conduct FM cost benchmarking.
  • Support and promote sustainable practices in energy, water and waste management according to best practice and IKEA global standards.
  • Support CAFM project for stores & shopping centres, ensure asset registers and work plans are updated and in place and that CAFM Systems are fully utilised.
  • Identify and develop best practices to improve Facilities Management and the delivery of Property Services.


Your profile

  • You have at least 8-10 years of working experience in Facilities Management within Retail properties. and operations and or IKEA store & Shopping Centre environment.
  • Good Communication skills with at least 2 years in a senior or executive management position.
  • You have good knowledge in asset management, project and contract management, engineering, technical knowledge and experience in all facility related systems (building, electrical, HVAC, structural, mechanical, BMS, and energy management). 
  • Good communication and organizational skills & service oriented, proactive with positive working attitude.
