Ensure implementation of cost control procedures and management process • Provide in house specialist information and support in construction cost estimation and cost management • Advise design team on choice of materials and construction methods from cost perspective, and advise procurement team on the contract forms from cost perspective • Work with the team how to carry out reviews, examinations, and comparisons of costs across Ingka Centres projects • Establish project budgets and provide cost analyses for feasibility studies and value engineering process • Compile and document project cost control related files and contribute to establishment of cost data for future developments • Manage the cost estimation services by the Quantity Surveying consultants on the project • Be the Super User of the Unifier System or other automated cost management tool, educating and clarifying the cost group definition to related parties; Operate the system and input the cost information, generating relevant cost report. Meanwhile, operate and maintain the Excel cost management system to keep the master cost control template for project • Maintain and update the cost control working routines and workflows, control the guidelines implementation and make a yearly follow up • Implement contract administration procedures and management process • Implement change order management process, manage the change order assessment process and advise on the claim settlement • Lead the assessment and certification process of the monthly payment of project to ensure only the correct amount is paid • Coordinate with Finance division on financial statements, cash flow forecasts, payments for consultants, contractors, and suppliers • Lead the final account process during the project close out period to ensure the protection of company interest
Key previous experience and skills needed before the job can be taken up Competence Profile |Project Cost Control & Contract Administration Manager 50224988 • University degree in quantity surveying, cost management, engineering or engineering management is preferred • Minimum 10 years of experience of cost management and contract administration in leading commercial development company or professional consulting organisations • Membership of international or national quantity surveying institute is preferred • Broad knowledge of cost information across all types of property development • Good English in oral and written
